Analysis Of The Legal Framework and Gaps Affecting the Civil Society Sector in Environmental Proceedings in Serbia provides a detailed overview of the domestic legal framework, as well as the institutional and practical obstacles that hinder CSOs from effectively participating in the legal protection of the environment. Particular attention is given to compliance with the Aarhus Convention and relevant European Union law, as well as to identifying shortcomings in legislation, judicial practice, and the everyday work of organizations on the ground.
The aim of the analysis is to offer a clear overview of the existing challenges and, through concrete recommendations, provide guidance for improving legislation, strengthening institutional support, and ensuring a safe and sustainable environment for the work of CSOs. This document serves as a foundation for further advocacy efforts and contributes to strengthening access to justice in matters of key importance for environmental protection in Serbia.
