Marija Maljan earned her bachelor’s degree in September 2010 from the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade, specializing in Scandinavian Languages and Literature. She later completed her master’s studies at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences in Management module, focusing on Project Management.

As a Cooperative Manager in YUCOM, Marija is responsible for preparing comprehensive project plans, managing resources, creating reports, and conducting project monitoring and evaluation. She also organizes seminars, trainings, conferences, and other events, while overseeing diverse teams to ensure effective collaboration with partners, donors, and co-workers. Additionally, she supports and mentors volunteers, fostering a positive work culture and encouraging professional development.

Marija has participated in numerous informal education programs, both domestically and internationally. She recently completed the SAYP program organized by Lund University and the Swedish Institute for Young Leaders, aimed at building networks, enhancing knowledge and practices, and improving decentralization and human rights initiatives.

She is fluent in English and Swedish and has a basic knowledge of Spanish.
