YUKOM lawyer Una Danilovic said on Friday that a prosecutor who indicted a driver for the attempted murder of a student protester has been transferred from his department.
Danilovic told a Youth Initiative for Human Rights, YIHR, conference that the prosecutor filed the indictment against the driver who rammed into a 16 Minutes of Silence memorial protest in central Belgrade, injuring student monitor Sonja Ponjavic who suffered head injuries after being thrown onto the hood of his car, across its roof and landing behind the car. The driver was arrested following the incident.
“The latest news we have is that the prosecutor who raised the indictment for attempted murder has been transferred to another department,” she said.
