Momčilo Živadinović graduated from the Faculty of Political Sciences of the University of Belgrade, where he also completed his Master’s studies, with a thesis focused on the analysis of the legal framework of social protection in the process of negotiations for accession to the European Union. He began his professional career at the Lawyers’ Committee for Human Rights – YUCOM in November 2013, when he joined the organisation as a Project Manager. Over the course of his long-standing engagement, he has successfully managed and implemented a large number of national, regional, and international projects supported by prominent international donors and institutions, including EIDHR, CSF, the World Bank, the European Commission, USAID, Sida, the OSCE, the Interreg Danube Transnational Programme, the Human Rights House Foundation, the International Visegrad Fund, and others. At the same time, he is a member of the team leading the Open Doors of the Judiciary initiative, one of the most recognisable platforms for improving access to justice and strengthening public trust in Serbia’s judicial system. Since May 2023, he has served as the Executive Director of YUCOM.
As one of the leaders of the Open Doors of the Judiciary initiative, he has presented the platform at relevant international forums, including the IACA conferences in Buenos Aires in 2023 and Singapore in 2024. He also presented the initiative at the final stage of the prestigious World Justice Challenge in Chicago in 2024, where it was recognised as one of the finalists.
In addition to his engagement in civil society, he has gained professional experience through his work with the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), as well as with the Education Relief Foundation based in Geneva. He is an alumnus of the Transparency International School on Integrity programme and, through continuous professional development, has attended numerous educational programmes, trainings, and seminars organised by international institutions and organisations. He is fluent in English and has a working knowledge of French.
